The first day Campers arrive at 9am and gather for a welcome session. They will be introduced to the staff, fellow campers, and, of course, the horses. Safety briefings and an overview of the day’s activities are provided.

**Horse Care and Grooming:** The day often begins with lessons on horse care and grooming. Campers learn how to brush, saddle, and prepare horses for riding. This hands-on experience fosters a bond between the child and the horse, emphasizing the importance of trust and responsibility.

**Riding Lessons:** After grooming, campers participate in riding lessons tailored to their skill levels. Campers learn basic riding techniques in a controlled environment.

**Break for Snacks:** Mid-morning, campers take a break for snacks and hydration, sharing experiences and making friends while enjoying the outdoors.

**Educational Activities:** After the break, campers might engage in educational sessions. These could include topics like horse anatomy, nutrition, and understanding horse behavior. Hands-on activities, such as leading a horse or learning about different breeds, enhance their knowledge.

**Afternoon Activities**
After lunch we have a slip and slide if the campers want to take part in that for cooling off fun. Other may want to do a horse theme craft activity

As the day comes to an end, campers gather for cleanup around the farm, pick up any trash that was dropped etc and get their belongings together for a closing circle to reflect on what they learned and share their favorite moments. This can include discussing new skills, favorite horses, or friendships made throughout the day.

**Pick-Up:** Parents arrive at 2pm to pick up their children, often greeted by excited campers eager to share their experiences and newfound knowledge about horses.

Overall, our summer horse camp program offers a blend of riding, education, and fun, creating a memorable experience that builds confidence, responsibility, and a love for horses.
